Our naturalists, who are professional whale biologists with over 10 years experience, lead and narrate each trip. They enjoy sharing their enthusiasm about whales and other marine life with our passengers and are available to answer your questions throughout the trip. They also collect vital research data on each sighting for the Blue Ocean Society. More than 80% of whale research in the Northeast takes place aboard whale watch boats through photo identification and data collection. Blue Ocean Society collects this data to learn more about whale populations and behavior and shares this data with other research organizations to determine the best ways to protect both the animals as well as their habitat.
The naturalist staff of Granite State Whale Watch is made up of graduate zoologists and biologists who affiliate with the Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation and other research organizations. Our naturalists enjoy sharing their enthusiasm about whales and other marine life with our passengers, and are available to answer your questions throughout the trip.
